We are a Quantity Surveying and Project Management firm that focus on delivering the best outcomes for clients. Our core purpose is to make a measurable difference to the value, cost and time of our clients’ projects.
Our Program, Cost, Consultancy (PCC) business line provides services to clients across several industry sectors.
We provide a broad range of services, expert knowledge and experience to assist our clients and colleagues involved in property and construction projects from inception to completion. Our range of experience and diverse services equip us with the in-house skill and experience to provide input from strategic guidance of master planning studies to the delivery of complex projects. Our dedicated teams and associated offices will take responsibility for the successful delivery of all projects. We have:
We have long established relationships with many clients and consultants in South Africa. These good relationships ensure cooperative working and offer clients increased value and reduced risk.
We provide a range of managed services to clients contemplating investment in infrastructure, construction and property – independently representing client interests, reducing risk and maximizing value through:
Identifying and agreeing the project goals, followed by the formal process of identifying and eliminating unnecessary cost and ensuring value for money.
Establish a ‘traffic light’ system of cost forecasting. By liaising closely with the design teams on a regular basis we will be in a position to forecast, in terms of cost, potential design changes and options. By identifying (red for imminent, etc.) when decisions need to be made, in order to minimize/remove the effect on the programme, the client can make changes in a timely fashion.
Undertaking options analysis, agreeing strategy, and then managing the process by which orders are placed for work, to secure the best available price in the market within the time available. In this instance this may involve a procurement workshop, to validate and recommend decisions upon procurement strategy taken to date.
Undertake study to appraise, in a structured way, the susceptibility of the project to cost or programme risk, and subsequent monitoring against contingency release.
Establishing the framework, and then administering the finance provisions of the contract/s to control the client’s cash flow and the cost effects of change, whilst securing performance from the contractor/s.
Implement pro-active change management procedures. Effective change management is the duty of the outline project team, in order to furnish the client with all the facts, to enable business decisions to be made. A robust change order process needs to be established from scheme design onwards, where all changes are assessed for cost and programme implications, reviewed and approved by the clients’ representative, prior to incorporation within the design.
Considering not just capital cost, but the impact of the design decisions on the future revenue position of the client.
